With it’s compact, low profile design and the power to support 600 lbs of weight along with gate lengths of up to 12 feet, the Viking G-5™ will revolutionize the idea of gate operation. This operator is manufactured with the highest quality components and is designed to accent any gate style. The G-5™ is capable of continuous cycles operation at 24V DC, converted directly from an AC line. The battery back-up provides up to 400 cycles of operation with a maximum capacity gate.

The G-5™ with its professional design and engineering is the FIRST and only linear actuator to obtained UL LISTING directly from Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL325 and UL991). This listing ensures the necessary safety requirements in the industry set by UL®, making the Viking G-5™ a smart solution for your gate automation.

The Viking Access Systems G-5™ gate operator’s simple set-up and troubleshooting takes the confusion out of installation and maintenance. This operator is compatible with accessories such as loop detectors, radio receivers, safety devices (edge sensors or photoelectric eyes), and three push button stations. It is equipped to control magnetic locks or similar entry devices.

This operator includes, a built-in three push button station, soft-start, soft-stop with adaptive learn algorithm, on-board lightning protection, high effieciency power supply, adjustable overlap timer control, adjustable timer for auto close, 1/2 hp motor, built in battery backup, easily accessed limit switches, back drivable gear, easily accessed key release, and convenient plug-in connectors for accessories.

The Intelligent Obstruction Sensor, the smooth speed control of the gate and the self-adjustment to environmental changes combined with indicator control are managed by a very high speed multitasking processor. The multitasking process is capable of acquiring, computing, filtering and making adaptive decisions in real time. This break-through feature makes the Viking G-5™ gate operator the leader in cutting edge technology.

The G-5™ operator is equipped with a Fail-Safe / Fail-Secure feature. With a simple on-board jumper removal, the unit is capable of being back-driven. This complies with the fire authority’s need to push open the gate during an emergency without the use of special equipment or knowledge.

The limit switch system is complimented by an on board intelligence that allows the gate operator to "self-learn" the opening and closing positions. With this feature, the operator will adjust the operation of the gate to compensate for gate environmental changes such as power source voltage alterations,normal mechanical resistance, or wind factor. This compensation creates a consistently smooth cycle by cycle operation thereby increasing the life time of the gate operator
